Alex is a littermate to Chip. Alex is out of Ch Peachy Keens Touch of Cool CGC "Ice" and Shannon's Fine Brandywine HSAs STDs HTADI CGC FGDCH TFE-I "Brandy". He is co-owned with Stephen and Michelle Kelley in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He is a loving and adored pet first and for most to them.
Alex began his show career being handled in the bred-by class. Stephen and his wife Michelle sent Alex to a local handler since I also had Chip out at the time and could not handle both of them. Karen Bryant-Yellen handled Alex through 2003. I began showing him again in the bred-by and open classes in late 2003. Alex earned his AKC breed championship under Mrs. "Corky" Gauger on September 5, 2004 in Raliegh, North Carolina. His show record is available.
Alex is a great dog. I do not get to spend a lot of time with him so when we are together we have fun. He takes vacations with me to go to shows or when his family needs a dog sitter. Alex is very loving. While he appears to have a lot of energy that is not always the case. Alex has the "turn off" switch so many border collies seem to not have. Alex has his favorite activities. He and his housemates, Abby and Pirate, spend their days playing together with the neighborhood kids. They are the favorites of the community. Another of his favorite things to do is watch out the windows for squirrels. He loves them!
Alex has now been desexed.
